Welcome to our Puzzler’s Paradise Camp for grades 3-8.
Join us for a fun-filled journey where kids explore math through engaging activities, puzzles, and games in a supportive and interactive environment. Ignite curiosity, build confidence, and foster a love for learning math at our exciting camp!
Jewel's Terrace Park in Albany, CA, offers a scenic setting for our camp. The park features green spaces, walking paths, playgrounds, a half basketball court and two tennis courts where kids can enjoy outdoor activities and learn in a beautiful environment. It's an ideal location for engaging adventures amidst nature's tranquility.

Activities
Solve the Rubik’s Cube
Our most popular activity is learning to solve the Rubik's Cube. We will discover the fascinating world of problem-solving and spatial reasoning as we unravel the secrets behind this iconic puzzle. Younger campers start with the 2x2, older campers the 3x3.
Scale Drawings
We will create scale drawings of various features within Jewel's Terrace Park. We'll learn to measure and represent elements like paths, trees, and benches accurately on paper using scale ratios. This hands-on experience helps develop spatial awareness and math skills while exploring the beauty of the park in a creative way.
Tangrams
We’ll tackle in the delightful challenge of tangram puzzles that offer a hands-on experience that encourages logical thinking and fosters a love for geometric patterns and shapes.

Session 3: June 17 - 21
Session 4: July 8 - 12
Session 5: July 15 - 19
Note: Session 1 is short and might not learn to solve the entire cube

Campers must bring the following items:

Welcome to my page! I'm Belynda Ray, a proud resident of Albany, CA, where I live with my husband and two wonderful 4 and 6 year old daughters. With over 15 years of experience teaching math in various California Unified School Districts, I've developed a passion for math enrichment. Holding a master's degree in applied mathematics and a CA teaching credential, I've honed my skills to create engaging curriculums that make math enjoyable and accessible.
